About the Company:

Our client is a leading ENR-ranked, mid-sized General Contractor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Known for its strong culture of mentorship, internal promotion, and long-term career growth, the company has a proven track record delivering complex construction projects across a variety of sectors, including Higher Education, K-12, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, and Multi-Family. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Superintendent to join their team, with a focus on healthcare projects.


Position Overview:

The Senior Superintendent will oversee and manage the construction execution of healthcare projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is primarily office-based in Columbus, with some on-site presence required to supervise field operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a Superintendent, particularly in healthcare construction.

  • Compensation: $120-175k+


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects
  • Lead and mentor field teams, including foremen, trade partners, and subcontractors
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality to ensure successful delivery
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, contracts, and compliance with safety protocols
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Resolve field-related issues and facilitate timely decision-making
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety, quality, and operational standards


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects, with significant healthcare experience
  • Proven track record managing complex healthcare builds, including renovations and ground-up facilities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
