Boyd Landscaping / No School Just Tools | Hybrid (Richmond, VA + Remote)

Boyd Landscaping is a fast-growing landscaping company based in Richmond, Virginia. Alongside the landscaping business, we also run a rapidly growing online brand called No School Just Tools, focused on entrepreneurship, home service businesses, and practical education for people who want to build businesses without traditional schooling.

Our content has reached millions of views across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, and we are now looking for a Content & Social Media Manager to help us grow aggressively and stay consistent across all platforms.

This role will begin as part-time hourly and has the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as the brand continues to scale.

Position Overview

Hybrid role (1–2 in-person filming days per week in Richmond, VA)

Primarily remote outside of filming days

Part-time to start (15–25 hours per week)

Hourly to begin, with potential to transition into salary

Opportunity to grow within a rapidly scaling brand and business

You will work directly with the founder to help document and grow both the landscaping company and the online brand.

Content Expectations

Daily short-form content across multiple platforms.

Typical weekly output will include:

• 1–2 short-form posts per day
• (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels)
• 1–2 YouTube videos per week
• Content repurposed across all platforms
• Consistent daily posting schedule

You will be responsible for ensuring content is edited, captioned, and posted consistently.

Responsibilities Content Creation & Editing

Film content on job sites, in the field, or during business activities

Edit both short-form and long-form videos

Create thumbnails and captions

Repurpose content across multiple platforms

Organize and maintain a content library

Maintain a structured content calendar

Social Media Management

Post daily content across platforms

Upload and manage YouTube videos

Respond to comments and messages when necessary

Assist with engagement and community building

Monitor performance and identify successful content patterns

Creative Strategy & Idea Generation

This role is not just editing and posting.

You will also help develop content ideas and creative direction.

This includes:

Brainstorming weekly video ideas

Identifying viral hooks and trends

Adapting trends to our niche

Repurposing older content into new formats

Helping develop YouTube video ideas

Studying other creators and competitors for inspiration

We are looking for someone who thinks creatively and proactively, not someone who waits to be told exactly what to film.

Brand Growth Support

Track basic analytics and performance metrics

Assist with marketing initiatives

Help identify opportunities for brand partnerships

Support the growth of both:

Boyd Landscaping (local service business)

No School Just Tools (online brand and community)

Qualifications

You do not need years of professional experience. We are willing to train the right person.

However, you should have:

Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)

Basic understanding of social media platforms

Strong organization and time management

Ability to work independently

Creative thinking and problem solving

Reliable transportation for filming days

Local to the Richmond area
