Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contract administration, claims management, and contractual correspondence within our fit-out projects. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing all contractual matters, drafting and reviewing agreements, handling claims, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fit-out projects and the ability to safeguard the company’s contractual and financial interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the administration of contracts across all fit-out projects, from award to close-out.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and amendments to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare, review, and issue contractual letters, notices, and correspondence with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Identify, prepare, and manage claims related to extensions of time (EOT), variations, prolongation, acceleration, and other contractual entitlements.
- Maintain accurate records of all contractual communications and project documentation.
- Provide contractual advice and support to project managers and site teams.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential contractual risks or disputes.
- Collaborate with the legal team and senior management to resolve disputes and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Support tendering and estimation teams in contract reviews and risk assessments during the bidding stage.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in contract administration and claims, preferably within the fit-out/construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, FIDIC conditions, and industry practices.
- Proven experience in preparing and managing claims and contractual letters.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of contract management software is an advantage.
