Job Purpose:

Lead the contract and risk management function within construction projects by ensuring the development, review, and execution of contracts in compliance with legal standards and organizational policies. This role is responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating contractual and project risks to protect the company's interests, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring alignment with legal and project objectives.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction, design consultancy, and supply agreements.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
  • Assess and interpret contractual terms to identify legal, financial, and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to manage and resolve disputes, claims, and litigation cases.
  • Work closely with project managers, procurement, legal, finance, and site teams to coordinate effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Recommend contractual adjustments to minimize risk exposure while maintaining favorable terms for the company.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments throughout the full project lifecycle (pre-bid, tendering, and execution).
  • Identify and evaluate risks such as delays, scope creep, claims, force majeure events, insurance gaps, and regulatory non-compliance.
  • Develop and implement robust contract risk management policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks that may impact project timelines, budgets, legal compliance, or outcomes.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in contract and risk management within construction or related industries.
  • Preferred certifications or coursework in project management, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
