About the Role

We’re looking for a highly analytical, experimentation-driven Senior CRO Specialist with deep Shopify expertise and advanced knowledge of conversion optimization best practices. This role is ideal for someone who has led structured experimentation programs, understands statistical rigor, and can translate behavioral insights into scalable revenue growth.

You will own the end-to-end experimentation lifecycle - from research and hypothesis development to execution, statistical validation, and implementation. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of designing data-backed testing roadmaps while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end experimentation program across Shopify storefronts
  • Conduct advanced heuristic evaluations and data-driven audits to identify friction points and revenue leaks
  • Develop and prioritize a structured experimentation roadmap aligned with revenue goals
  • Design and execute A/B, multivariate, split URL, and personalization tests with statistical rigor
  • Define success metrics, sample size calculations, power analysis, and confidence thresholds
  • Analyze behavioral data across full-funnel journeys (acquisition → checkout → retention)
  • Optimize high-impact areas including:
  • Product detail pages (PDPs)
  • Cart & checkout flows
  • Landing pages
  • Subscription funnels
  • Upsell/cross-sell flows
  • Leverage tools such as GA4, Shopify Analytics, Looker Studio, Triple Whale, and behavioural analytics platforms
  • Translate quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable test hypotheses
  • Present clear, executive-ready experiment reports outlining impact, learnings, and revenue contribution
  • Ensure experimentation best practices including proper segmentation, guardrail metrics, and bias mitigation
  • Stay current with CRO methodologies, behavioral psychology principles, and Shopify ecosystem advancements

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in CRO and experimentation within ecommerce environments
  • Proven track record of running structured experimentation programs with measurable revenue impact
  • Strong expertise in Shopify (themes, Liquid, apps, checkout extensibility, Shopify Plus preferred)
  • Deep experience with experimentation platforms (Optimizely, VWO, Convert, Intelligems, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Statistical significance
  • Power analysis
  • Sample sizes vs runtime
  • Confidence intervals
  • Test prioritization
  • Advanced proficiency in analytics tools (GA4, Looker Studio, Clarity, Triple Whale)
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs (CVR, AOV, LTV, CAC, churn, funnel metrics)
  • Ability to synthesize large datasets into strategic insights
  • Experience working cross-functionally with design, dev, and paid media teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders through data

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with subscription platforms (Recharge, Bold, etc.) • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and customer journey mapping • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for light technical implementation • Exposure to performance marketing and attribution models
