Line Cook & Dough Specialist | Jerry’s Roast Pork (FIDI SF)

Location: 2 Embarcadero Center, San Francisco

The Mission: Help us revitalize Downtown SF with artisan roast pork hoagies and unique pizza/focaccia/al-taglio style doughs.

Jerry’s Roast Pork is growing, and we need a versatile, craft-focused Cook to join our crew. This isn't a "back-of-house only" role. We are looking for a teammate who is equally comfortable mastering a high-hydration dough as they are interacting with our FIDI lunch crowd. If you want to help build a new small business from the ground up and leave your mark on the city, we want to meet you.

The Role

You’ll be a vital part of the daily engine at Jerry’s, handling everything from the day's prep to the lunch rush.

  • The Dough Program: You’ll lead the production of our focaccia/pizza dough. If you love working with high-hydration, focaccia-style crusts—focusing on fermentation, structure, and that perfect crunch—this is your station.
  • The Line: Execute food production during our peak service hours. You’ll be responsible for assembling our signature roast pork sandwiches with speed and precision.
  • Guest Interaction: We’re a neighborhood spot in a big city. You’ll be front-and-center, greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring every customer feels the Jerry's energy.
  • Operations & Inventory: You’ll play a key role in the business by taking inventory, helping with orders, and participating in the daily setup and closing of the shop.

Who You Are

  • Dough Driven: You have experience with bread or pizza dough (specifically focaccia or Sicilian/Roman styles -- grandma pie) and understand the patience and technique required for a quality bake.
  • FIDI-Fast: You enjoy the "controlled chaos" of a downtown lunch rush and stay calm under pressure.
  • A People Person: You’re happy to jump from the prep table to the register to help a guest.
  • Growth-Minded: You want to do more than just follow a recipe—you want to help a new small business grow and thrive.
