Residence Inn by Marriott Boise City Center – We are hiring!

Apply in person at 400 S Capitol Blvd. today.

Residence Inn by Marriott serves dinner 7days a week from 4pm-10pm Monday – Friday and 4pm-11pm Saturday and Sunday.

Shifts start between 2 and 4 pm.

Cook Responsibilities:

Prepare all food items according to established recipes, plating specification sheets, par levels and portion control specifications.

Receive and put away food deliveries and ensure time/ temp food safety procedures are being followed.

Maintain food temperature and sanitation logs.

Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Inform supervisor of excess food items or waste to help control inventory and cost.

Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items.

Prep and line cooking as well as doing dishes.

Assist in preparing banquet food (as needed).

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times.

Any other task assigned by supervisor or management.

Cook Requirements:

· High school diploma.

· Previous restaurant experience or more education is generally preferred.

· Strong understanding of daily kitchen operations.

· Understanding of food handling and temperature danger zone.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Must be a team player who is also capable of working independently, making decisions, and taking direction.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a wide range of temperatures and walk and stand for extended periods of time. Occasionally lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to read and accurately follow recipes.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
