Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation meet established standards
• Operate cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and providing friendly service to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food prep areas, and dining space in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting daily specials or modifications based on available ingredients and customer preferences
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, including storage, sanitation, and temperature controls
• Serve food to customers promptly, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience with excellent service
• Support catering events or special functions as needed, assisting with meal preparation and serving

Skills

• Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within restaurant or food industry settings
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques for diverse cuisines
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
• Experience with menu planning, catering, and fine dining environments is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest satisfaction
