Description


The Employee Relations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting a positive and productive workplace. This position assists with handling employee concerns, and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies. The Coordinator provides guidance to staff and managers on employee relations matters, helps resolve workplace issues, and supports initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and organizational culture.

  • Provides supervisors with guidance on district policies and procedures to assist with employee performance management and corrective actions. Supports the implementation of disciplinary processes, dismissal actions, and complaint handling in alignment with established guidelines.
  • Assists with compliance requirements by preparing and maintaining accurate reports and records in accordance with federal, state, and district policies. Submits documentation to appropriate agencies and supports audits, reviews, and reporting to ensure adherence to regulations and reduce organizational risk.
  • Supports employee relations processes by coordinating cases such as administrative leaves, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Works with supervisors and HR team members to ensure timely and consistent handling of employee relations matters.
  • Provides resources and general guidance to help supervisors and employees resolve workplace issues. Assists in promoting positive employee relations and supports a respectful and collaborative work environment.
  • Assists in the preparation and delivery of training on employee relations topics. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and helps implement solutions that strengthen consistency and efficiency across the district.
  • Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned in support of the employee relations function.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a directly related field.
  • SHRM/PHR preferred.
  • 3-5 years in direct experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, employment laws, and HR policies.
  • Ability to interpret and apply district policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements consistently and fairly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
  • Ability to guide and coach supervisors and employees through complex workplace issues.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with a focus on collaboration and positive outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and compliance-related tasks.
