We pride ourselves on our innovative approach and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with FMCG experience to join our finance team.

The Role

As a General Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting our financial planning and analysis processes. Your experience in the FMCG industry will be invaluable as you work to optimize our financial operations and contribute to our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow) in accordance with GAAP or IFRS standards.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; ensure all journal entries, accruals, and prepayments are correctly recorded.
  • Reconciliations: Perform regular bank, credit card, and inter-company reconciliations to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Cash Flow Oversight: Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice processing, expense reports, and collections.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file local, state, and federal tax returns (Sales Tax, VAT, Corporate Tax) ensuring timely payments.
  • Audit & Compliance: Serve as the primary contact for internal/external auditors; provide necessary documentation and explanations for financial entries.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in annual budget development and perform variance analysis to explain differences between actual spend and forecasts.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Track company assets, including depreciation schedules and disposals.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience, ideally within the FMCG or Distribution industry.
  • Advanced MS Excel: Must be an expert in Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (testing may be required).
  • Accounting Software: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Tally, or Zoho

Preferred Skills:

  • High attention to detail and strong ethical integrity.
  • Ability to explain financial data to team members across production and sales.
  • Excellent time-management skills to meet monthly closing deadlines.
