Cost Control Engineer

At Arabian Construction Company (ACC), our landmark projects define skylines, communities, and regions. We’re seeking a Cost Control Engineer to help monitor and optimize project costs, ensuring on-budget delivery across ACC’s high-profile construction projects. This role suits early-career professionals (1–3 years of experience) with solid exposure to construction cost control—strong fresh graduates with at least one year of relevant training/co-op are welcome to apply.


What You’ll AchieveFoundations of Cost Management

• Build and maintain project budgets and cost baselines.

• Structure cost breakdowns (CBS/WBS) and align with contracts and BOQs.

• Set up cost codes and ensure proper allocation across activities and resources.

Cost Tracking & Reporting

• Record and validate actual costs, commitments, and accruals.

• Prepare periodic cost reports (weekly/monthly) with dashboards and S-curves.

• Consolidate quantities, unit rates, and productivity data to support accurate reporting.

Variance, Forecasting & EVM

• Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actual vs. commitment).

• Apply Earned Value concepts (CPI/SPI, EAC, ETC) to anticipate outcomes.

• Highlight trends and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.

Change, Risks & Controls

• Track change orders/claims and reflect impacts on budget and forecast.

• Log and quantify cost risks and opportunities with mitigation proposals.

• Support audits and compliance with ACC controls, policies, and procedures.

Collaboration & Systems

• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Site teams to reconcile quantities and costs.

• Maintain clean documentation (invoices, POs, MRNs, variations, backup).

• Work on ERP/Primavera integrations and help automate recurring reports.


What You’ll Bring to ACC

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management.
  • 1–3 years of experience in construction cost control (strong internships/co-ops count).
  • Good command of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling); exposure to Primavera P6 is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle/IFS) and with BOQ/contracts basics.
  • Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and clear reporting skills.
  • Very good English communication.
