Cost Control Engineer / Cost Controller

Are you an experienced Cost Control Engineer with a strong background in construction project budgeting and financial management? Do you have hands-on experience in monitoring project costs, preparing forecasts, and ensuring financial compliance within large-scale construction projects?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Control Professional to join a leading construction organization. You will be responsible for managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, supporting procurement processes, and ensuring cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage project budgets and detailed cost plans.
  • Monitor project expenditures and track costs against approved budgets.
  • Prepare cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial analyses.
  • Analyze variances between planned and actual costs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support tendering and procurement processes with cost evaluations.
  • Review and verify subcontractor invoices and payment applications.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, financial policies, and internal procedures.
  • Prepare and present monthly cost reports to senior management.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in cost control within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial terms.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and cost control software.
