Job Title: Cost Controller

Job Summary:

The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring and controlling all cost-related activities across outlets and operations. The role ensures accurate cost reporting, adherence to budgetary controls, and implementation of effective cost management practices to support profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily food and beverage costs, ensuring accurate recording and control of all inventory movements.
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports for management review.
• Review and verify purchase orders, goods received notes, and supplier invoices for accuracy.
• Conduct regular stock audits, spot checks, and variance analysis between physical and system inventories.
• Assist in developing and maintaining cost standards, recipes, and menu pricing in coordination with the Executive Chef and Operations team.
• Analyze consumption patterns and identify areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvement.
• Ensure all wastage, transfers, and voids are properly documented and approved.
• Support the Finance Department in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing activities.
• Maintain up-to-date cost control systems and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Liaise with Procurement, Stores, and Operations to maintain cost transparency and data accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Cost Controller, preferably in the F&B, Hospitality, or Catering industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and control procedures.
• Proficient in MS Excel, accounting software, and inventory management systems.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
