Hayat has made significant investments in Egypt, establishing itself as a major player in the region’s FMCG sector:

  • Current Operations: The company currently owns five factories in Egypt, employing 1,800 people, with a total investment of $550 million.
  • Growth Plans: We have announced plans to invest $55 million to open two new production facilities for tissue and PE by the end of 2024.
  • Strategic Hub: Egypt serves as Hayat’s key exportation hub for the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Far East, and the Americas, including the USA.
  • Sustainability: We employ an innovative and environmentally friendly manufacturing approach, including the use of trigeneration technology for energy efficiency.



The Opportunity


We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Costing Executive to join our dynamic Finance team at our Sokhna facility. This critical role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and control of all product costs, driving operational efficiency, and providing crucial financial data to support strategic decision-making in our growing Egyptian operations.



Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will own the costing and control functions, with a focus on:

Cost Accounting & Control

  • Manage and optimize cost accounting systems, primarily utilizing SAP S4Hana (CO/MM modules).
  • Maintain accurate standard costs and BOMs (Bills of Materials) for precise product valuation.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on material, labor, and overhead variance analysis to identify deviations and improvement areas.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead cost budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Use advanced Excel models to simulate cost scenarios and support decision-making.
  • Ensure cost alignment with strategic financial goals.

Inventory & Supply Chain Costing

  • Oversee inventory valuation and ensure the accurate cost allocation across warehouses.
  • Analyze logistics and distribution costs to pinpoint and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Support Procurement by evaluating supplier cost structures and negotiating better terms.

Reporting & Strategic Analysis

  • Generate detailed cost reports and dashboards using advanced Excel features (pivot tables, Power Query, and macros).
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for cost deviations and run simulations to assess the impact of raw material price fluctuations, FX changes, and labor cost shifts.
  • Provide contingency planning support for supply chain disruptions.
  • Present actionable insights to senior management.

Efficiency & Cost Optimization

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities across production, logistics, and procurement.
  • Collaborate with Operations to implement lean cost strategies and track KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance

  • Work closely with the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams, ensuring cost transparency and data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.
  • Prepare documentation and analysis for cost-related audits and regulatory reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering , or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in cost control/accounting or financial planning and analysis, preferably in the FMCG sector.

SAP Expertise

Proficiency in SAP (CO/MM modules is ideal) and experience with financial reporting software.

Excel Mastery

Recognized as an Excel guru —advanced skills in formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, Power Query

Digitalization

Will play a pivotal role in the finance digitalization journey of the company, with experience in advanced reporting tools like Power BI and workflow management (e.g., Microsoft Forms).

Analytical & Communication

Strong ability to interpret complex financial data, drive strategic decisions, and communicate clearly across functions.
