Country Manager

Doha, Qatar

As the Country Manager in Doha, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing the company’s long-term strategy to create shareholder equity and enhance the company's presence in the country. This role will involve overseeing all daily administrative activities and implementing the company’s short- and long-term plans in alignment with its strategic objectives. The Country Manager will act as the direct point of contact between the senior leadership team and different company departments and will represent the company in communication with external partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Vision Development:

o Collaborate with senior management and the general manager in developing the company’s vision and strategic plans for growth.

o Lead the development and execution of the company’s long- and short-term plans in accordance with the approved strategy and policies.

2. Leadership & Advisory Role:

o Act as a professional advisor to the senior leadership in all aspects of the company’s activities, providing insights and recommendations.

o Actively engage in decision-making processes that affect the company’s operations and long-term direction.

3. Internal & External Communication:

o Manage official communications on behalf of the Director General, ensuring clear and effective communication both internally and externally.

o Represent the company at various community and business activities to promote its brand and enhance its image.

4. Operational Oversight:

o Oversee the daily business operations, ensuring smooth execution of tasks and aligning daily activities with strategic goals.

o Develop and implement strategies to drive company growth and enhance revenue.

5. Team Management & Development:

o Lead, train, and mentor low-level managers and staff, ensuring effective management practices across the organization.

o Develop and implement training programs to improve skills and knowledge within the team.

6. Financial & Budget Management:

o Create and manage budgets, ensuring proper allocation of resources and maximizing efficiency.

o Analyze financial data, evaluate performance, and make adjustments as needed to improve overall financial performance.

7. Employee Management:

o Handle recruitment, hiring, and employee management, ensuring the company attracts and retains top talent.

o Evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and creating growth opportunities for staff members.

8. Business Development & Opportunity Research:

o Research and identify potential growth opportunities within the market, developing strategies to capitalize on new business ventures.

o Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities to drive innovation and competitiveness.

9. Reporting & Presentations:

o Generate reports and deliver presentations to senior leadership, stakeholders, and external partners to keep them informed of the company’s performance and strategic initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

□ Educational Background:

o A degree in business management or a master’s in business administration (MBA).

□ Business Function Knowledge:

o A strong understanding of different business functions, including finance, operations, marketing, and human resources.

□ Leadership Skills:

o Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams and driving business growth.

□ Communication Skills:

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

□ Organizational Skills:

o Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

□ Work Ethic:

o A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive under pressure while meeting deadlines.

□ Interpersonal Skills:

o Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, partners, and clients.

□ Attention to Detail:

o A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of the role.

□ Computer Literacy:

o Proficiency in using business software and tools, with advanced computer literacy.

o A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, with the ability to anticipate and address challenges before they arise
