Customs Clearance Specialist (On-site)

Job Description

A Customs Clearance Specialist is responsible for ensuring goods move legally and smoothly across borders (import/export).

Main Responsibilities

• Manage full customs clearance process for shipments
• Prepare & submit documents (invoice, packing list, permits)
• Coordinate with customs authorities and port officials
• Calculate duties, taxes, and fees
• Ensure compliance with Oman customs laws & regulations
• Track shipments and resolve delays/issues
• Maintain records of all clearance transactions
• Attend inspections and handle approvals when needed

Required Skills

• Knowledge of import/export regulations & HS codes
• Experience with Bayan system / Oman Trade Portal
• Strong attention to detail (documentation accuracy)
• Communication (Arabic + English often required)
• Problem-solving under pressure
• MS Excel / ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
