Dark Stores Community Lead

Role Objectives:

As a Dark Stores Community Lead, you will serve as the bridge between Breadfast’s operations and the surrounding neighborhoods. You will be responsible for nurturing positive community relationships, resolving external concerns, and ensuring all dark store activities align with both local standards and internal policies. In addition to community engagement, you will manage landlord relationships, lease contract follow-up, and ensure property-related obligations are fulfilled across all dark store locations.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement & Issue Resolution:
  • Lead the development and execution of community engagement strategies to ensure long-term positive relations with local residents and neighborhood stakeholders.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to gather feedback and anticipate potential community concerns.
  • Serve as the escalation point for external complaints related to dark store operations (e.g., staff conduct, traffic, noise), ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
  • Maintain alignment between daily operations and neighborhood standards, identifying and addressing any reputational risks.
  • Landlord & Property Management:
  • Own and maintain high-trust relationships with landlords and property owners across all dark store locations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all landlord-related communications, including dispute resolution and ongoing coordination.
  • Monitor and follow up on rent payments, lease compliance, and contract-related issues, coordinating with internal teams as needed.
  • Support contract renewals, amendments, or terminations while ensuring smooth operational continuity.
  • Oversee and manage the rental agreements of dark stores located within malls, including follow-up on all associated maintenance, utility, and electricity bills to ensure timely payment and operational continuity.
  • Internal Alignment & Operational Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with dark store operations and facilities teams to ensure all property and community-related obligations are fulfilled.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Operations to resolve lease-related matters or potential community escalations.
  • Advise internal teams on best practices for maintaining a positive local presence.
  • Communication & Reporting:
  • Lead communication efforts related to dark store presence and activities within the local community.
  • Plan and implement neighborhood engagement initiatives (e.g., community gifts, awareness campaigns) to foster goodwill.
  • Prepare regular reports on community feedback, incident tracking, and landlord updates to inform leadership and drive improvements.


Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Community Development, Marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in community management, customer relations, or property/stakeholder management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Proven ability to manage landlord relationships and follow up on lease contract obligations.
  • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to navigate sensitive community or landlord issues professionally.
  • Solid understanding of local community dynamics.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by store operations or external needs.
