Job Description:
Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- DAE (Electrical / IT) with 01 year of hands-on experience in handling Operations of Data Centre Facility electrical Systems.
Desirable:
- Bachelor degree IT /B Tech (Electrical / Electronics with 02 years of hands-on experience in handling Operations of Data Centre Facility electrical, Cooling, Fire Detection & Suppression System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Physical & online monitoring of Data Centre’s facility equipment UPS, electrical panels & Cooling systems
- Troubleshoot and repair facility infrastructure issues
- Support installations of new IT equipment from a facilities side i.e checking rack space, power availability & cooling
- Timely Handling of critical Alarms i.e. electrical, cooling & fire suppression systems
- Respond to emergency situations like power outages or hardware failure impacts
- Work Shifts Weekend , Evening ,night and on-call to maintain 24/7 operations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Essential:
- Technical knowledge of Data Centre electrical & cooling system
- Ability to handle critical state alarms of the Data Centre facility electrical system equipment i.e electrical panel, UPS & PDUs
Desirable:
- Data Centre facility electrical, cooling, Fire suppression system equipment alarms handling & its rectification
Training/Certification:
Essential:
- Training in Data Centre electrical system
Desirable:
- Training in Cooling, Fire Detection & Suppression System
Terms and Conditions:
- Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics /Professional).
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply after seeking NOC from their respective parent department / organizations.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
- NUST reserves the right to cancel, modify / terminate the recruitment program due to any reason, without notice, at any time.
