We are seeking for Data Modeler Position

Position Details:

Job Type:1 year renewable contract with client (payroll Avensys)

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Timings : Regular working hours (Saudi Arabia Time Zone)

Yrs of Exp: Min 5+ years of relevant experience

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise and analytical data platforms.

• Analyze existing data sources and schemas to identify relationships, redundancies, and optimization opportunities.

• Ensure data model alignment across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers in the Data Lakehouse environment.

• Work with ETL/ELT developers (Informatica, Datastage, or equivalent) to validate data flow and model integration.

• Collaborate with data governance and architecture teams to maintain data lineage, metadata, and standards.

• Support performance tuning, normalization/denormalization, and indexing strategies.

• Document data definitions, business keys, and transformation rules clearly and accurately.

• Participate in model reviews and sign-off sessions with stakeholders and architects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in data modeling and database design.

• Proficiency with data modeling tools (ERwin, PowerDesigner, or equivalent).

• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehouse / data lake / data lakehouse concepts.

• Understanding of Teradata FSLDM & FSAS models.

• Hands-on experience with Teradata, Cloudera, Informatica, or Denodo preferred.

• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and metadata management.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills; ability to work across business and technical teams.
