Daycare Worker/Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker/Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role involves implementing developmental activities, managing classroom behavior, and supporting children's social and educational growth. Experience in early childhood education, childcare, and classroom management is essential to foster a positive learning atmosphere that promotes childhood development and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Provide attentive care to children, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities, attendance, and developmental milestones.
• Assist with potty training, nap times, and other routine care tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children in the program.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques.
• Experience with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
• Certification in first aid is desirable; ongoing training in early childhood education is a plus.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous.
• Background in nannying or babysitting can be relevant if it includes caregiving responsibilities for young children.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities is essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.15 - $16.00 per hour
