Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
• Assist dentists during various procedures such as cleanings, restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
• Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and comfort for both patient and provider
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being
• Maintain infection control standards through aseptic technique, proper sterilization procedures, and adherence to OSHA guidelines

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
• Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic or similar platforms for managing medical documentation and records
• Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care
• Skilled in taking X-rays, using 3D scanners, and performing medical imaging techniques with precision
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination
• Ability to operate dental equipment including digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners effectively
• Excellent communication skills as a Dental Receptionist when interacting with patients before and after procedures
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
