Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and manage patient intake processes efficiently
  • Schedule appointments using dental practice management software
  • Assist endodontist during procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort
  • Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries promptly
  • Verify insurance benefits, process claims
  • Manage clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized dental records
  • Support medical administrative functions such as appointment reminders, follow-up calls, and documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Medical Receptionist within a dental or healthcare setting
  • Hard working, reliable and organized
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
  • Prior clinic or dental office experience an asset but not required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards while managing sensitive health information
  • Strong attention to detail for documentation review and accurate data entry in medical records
