Job Summary:
Our fast growing dental group is expanding and seeking a front desk/Hygiene assistant team player to join our team. We are looking for someone that can work front and back as needed. If you are someone with experience working at a dental office, have excellent communication skills, responsible, punctual and able to multi-task, we encourage you to apply to join us. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments
- periodically run aged balance reports and send statements to patients
- Maintain patient records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing and coding tasks as needed
- Keep the front desk area clean and organized
- send pre-authorization claims and follow up with insurance
- collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations of the front desk
Assist the Hygienist during dental Hygiene visits
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take dental x-rays (must be certified)
- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with patient assessment, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Maintain accurate and detailed dental records and medical documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Coronal Polishing (must obtain certificate)
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Qualifications:
- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Familiarity with Dentrix preferred
- Proficiency in infection control protocols and practices
- Ability to take accurate dental x-rays
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of anatomy and oral health principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
