Deputy Manager - HSE

The position is responsible for ensuring that the business is legally compliant with all safety and health rules and regulations. The incumbent is required to work with as well as train employees to better manage, check, and improve the health and safety standards and regulations within the workplace.

Location: Hub, Balochistan

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Safety and Health officers to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Develop strategic direction for health, safety management, and workplace wellbeing programs (including mental health and first aid).
• Prepare and manage audit plans in SAP, conduct audits, and formulate audit question lists.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, address facility deficiencies, and oversee monthly safety inspections.
• Handle permit applications and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain environmental, safety, and sustainability programs, policies, and procedures.
• Lead safety records management, trend analysis, and manage hazard investigations, non-compliance, and reporting.
• Review health and safety legislation and ensure compliance through company systems and procedures.
• Ensure robust risk assessment and incident management systems are in place and followed.
• Work with HR on health and wellbeing issues, including supporting individual risk assessments.
• Lead employee education programs on waste and environmental management.
• Manage performance appraisals, approve leaves, and address compensation gaps for direct reports.
• Design employee development plans and provide support and guidance to subordinates.

What makes you the perfect candidate?

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/ MSc / BSc
• Experience: At least 6-8 years of experience of HSE roles in fertilizer/ petrochemicals / process plant / industry.
