Position Information

Leumeah High School is a coeducational, comprehensive school in South-Western Sydney with a school enrolment of approximately 700 students. We are proud of our rich cultural diversity, with approximately 45% of our students coming from language backgrounds other than English and 9% identifying as First Nations students.

The school has been recognised for its strong pastoral care and wellbeing programs with its best practice implementation of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBIS). This success reflects the dedication of our caring and committed staff, who work tirelessly to ensure that every student feels supported and valued.

The school's committed and highly professional staff continually work to improve the quality of teaching and learning through evidence-based reflection, explicit teaching and the purposeful implementation of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Our staff continually engage in professional learning to ensure our students receive high-quality, engaging education that meets the demands of today's world.

There is a broad academic curriculum, with future-focused learning at its core. With every student equipped with an iPad, our classrooms are places of innovation and creativity. Faculties are leading the way in developing future-focused programs that prepare our students to be confident, capable, and digitally skilled learners.

We are proud of the strong student leadership culture in our school. Students are afforded leadership opportunities and encouraged to lead and contribute to decision making through the Student Representative Council and Aboriginal Representative Council, as well as opportunities in the arts, sports, and community service.
