Job Purpose

The Modification Engineer is responsible for managing client-requested unit modifications, preparing concept and technical drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and facilitating coordination among clients, CRM, Projects, and the Development Team. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of approved modifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive modification requests from the CRM based on client needs.
  • Prepare meeting minutes reflecting client requirements and obtain client approval.
  • Create technical drawings following client approval of meeting minutes.
  • Obtain client approval on DWG files.
  • Conduct requested 3D visualizations and site visits as needed.
  • Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) after DWG approvals.
  • Forward design drawings and BOQs—along with illustrative shots—to the Development Team.
  • Update the modification log daily and maintain communication with clients and CRM.
  • Address client-requested revisions and update drawings/BOQs accordingly.
  • Ensure all modifications comply with company standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed on market-available materials and recommend suitable options to enhance design quality, feasibility, and cost efficiency.

Deliver accurate and approved modification drawings and BOQs.

Create standard finishing packages to offer to clients.

Ensure modification requests progress smoothly through all workflow stages.

Maintain professional communication with clients and CRM.

Keep precise and up-to-date documentation and logs.

Ensure all modifications adhere to internal standards and authority codes.

Job Specification (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in design modification, technical drafting, or architectural engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with 3D visualization software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
