onitor the performance of the Design Consultant(s) to ensure the Design correctness and completeness as well as compliance with the scope of work requirements. M
aintain a record of the Design Consultant(s) submittals and control in a timely manner the submittals/correspondence received from the Design Consultant(s). E
nsure that the Design Consultant(s) has considered the end user's requirements as stated in the statement of requirement. E
nsure the production of complete, coordinated, and approved design, tender and contract documentation in compliance with the approved Master Schedule. C
ontrol and manage the Senior Discipline Engineers of the Project Management Team in respect of Design aspects. A
llocate specific tasks to Senior Discipline Engineers, including responding to RFIs forwarded by the construction team. E
valuate and endorse the variation orders/concession request submitted by the Design Consultant(s) for Client's approval. A
ttend all meetings with Design Consultant(s), its sub-consultants, and Client's Meetings. C
hair and minute design management meetings. R
eview the drawings, reports and specifications submitted by the Design Consultant(s) to ensure completeness, correctness, and compliance with the scope of work and agreement requirements. E
nsure the Design Consultant incorporates all building standards, codes, and regulations, both local and international as agreed. R
eview and comment on all drawings and documents submitted by the Design Consultant(s) and ensure the incorporation of all revisions on all documents. A
ssist, monitor and ensure timely submittals of all documents from the Design Consultant(s) to all government departments until final necessary permits are obtained to proceed with the works to final completion. P
rovide support in coordination requirements related to authorities involved in the process of approvals. Monitor the status of design and construction related NOC’s. M
onitor the overall delivery program and report critical issues to the Construction Manager. P
repare a monthly design status report and submit to the Project Control Manager for inclusion in the monthly progress report. C
oordinate with regional / home office for technical support required to ensure the correctness and completeness of the Design. R
eview and report to Client all Design Consultant(s)' monthly reports including area of concern and recommended plans of actions. R
eview the Project Strategy and provide recommendation to Client. L
ead PM Disciplines in reviewing Tender Documents for completeness prior to issuing to Bidders. P
repare questionnaire for pre-qualification of the Construction Contractors, carry out the pre-qualification and recommend a bidders' list. L
ead PM Disciplines in replying to bidders’ clarifications, issuing bulletins, and attending technical meetings with bidders during Tender stage. P
ropose alternative materials/systems to improve the Design Operation, Future Maintenance and Construction Cost. M
onitor the contractors' shop drawing preparation performance and identify any measures required to be taken to address shortfalls. E
nsure that the consultants and contractors are coordinating their designs with those of other parties involved in the Project. A
ll Project Documents are controlled, recorded, and filed as per contact requirements.
