Digital Marketing Manager

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a National Historic Landmark and accredited museum in Miami, Florida (www.vizcaya.org). The Digital Marketing Manager advances Vizcaya's institutional goals through social and digital marketing strategies and tactics that engage our diverse community and support membership, admissions, programs and fundraising. The position is on the Marketing and Client Services Team and reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Vizcaya is owned by Miami-Dade County and is operated by the non-profit Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Trust, Inc. Our mission is to preserve the estate's cultural and environmental resources to engage people in connecting with the past, understanding the present and shaping the future. Essential Functions

• Develop and maintain a strategic content plan and editorial calendar across all digital channels.
• Create, curate, and manage content for all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube, ensuring consistent voice, quality, and alignment with institutional priorities.
• Manage community engagement across all social media platforms, including timely responses to visitor inquiries, comments, and direct messages.
• Conceive, produce, and manage video content across formats, including short-form social video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), livestreams, and longer-form YouTube content. Photography and video production work is supported by a staff Videographer/Multimedia Producer.
• Lead search engine optimization (SEO) strategy and on-page content optimization in collaboration with web and editorial efforts, using analytics to improve search visibility and organic content performance.
• Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with influencers and content creators whose audiences and values align with Vizcaya’s brand, with a focus on micro-influencers in arts, history, culture, and lifestyle and creators reflecting Miami’s diverse demographics.
• Update and maintain Vizcaya’s website and online presence on affiliated and third-party websites, including event listings and directory profiles.
• Monitor across digital channels — including web traffic, social media, and email.
• Produce email communications to promote programs, events, fundraising, membership, and other institutional initiatives, and grow and manage the stakeholder email database.
• Collaborate with the Advancement Team to reconcile email contact information with the donor database.
• Stay current with emerging digital marketing technologies and tools — including AI-driven applications — and identify opportunities to integrate them into Vizcaya’s marketing operations.
• Assist the Marketing and Communications team as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Help to sustain and grow Vizcaya's revenues and participate in pursuing funding opportunities.
• Proactively promote communication, collaboration and customer service.
• Engage in internal committees as appropriate and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Create and manage your budget; understand and comply with Vizcaya's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Position Requirements

• At least 4 years of work experience managing social and digital communications, including hands-on campaign management.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, video production, or a related field.
• Deep and current knowledge of social and digital media theories and practices, including editorial content planning, strategy, and platform best practices.
• Demonstrated communications, project management, and financial management skills.
• Proficiency with WordPress or a comparable CMS for website content management and updates.
• Commitment to collaboration, customer service, strategy, and innovation.
• English fluency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Factors Vizcaya Will Consider When Evaluating Applicants and Determining Compensation

• Additional relevant work experience, training, and education.
• Experience with photography and video production, including scripting, filming, and editing.
• Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or HubSpot) and CRM or donor database systems.
• Spanish fluency.

Compensation

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens offers competitive compensation with generous paid leave, retirement benefits, and robust medical and other insurance for full-time employees. Salary will be based on the selected candidate's experience and skills. The anticipated salary for this position is approximately $71,000; final compensation will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications and may be higher or lower than this amount.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

The majority of work is done in an office setting, with some portion involving interaction with media, program participants, donors and other constituents on and off site. Vizcaya is a non-smoking environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Schedule

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), exempt position. The position follows a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days per week on-site at Vizcaya. Periodic evening and weekend work is required for event support.
