Digital Marketing Specialist

Purpose:

Under the direction of the Communications Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist assists with the preparation, promotion and execution of World Dairy Expo, the meeting place of the global dairy industry. This position utilizes analytical skills, graphic design, writing and social media management tools to provide customer services to exhibitors, attendees, and global media professionals while amplifying the messaging and brand of World Dairy Expo.

Essential Responsibilities:

• You MUST be willing to work out of the Madison, Wisconsin Office. This is NOT a remote position.
• Graphic and show material design, including advertisements, cattle log covers, show summary and management report.
• Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategy.
• Monitor activity WDE social media channels.
• Oversee design and ordering of all WDE signage.
• Assist with marketing plan, graphic elements and post-show distribution of ExpoTV.
• Creation and distribution of press releases in AP style.
• Oversee the Media Room at World Dairy Expo and manage intern team.
• Website administration and management.
• Collaborate on Expo Daily Edition and Official Program content creation and execution.
• Assist with sponsorship deliverables and materials.
• Involvement with company surveys and compilation of results.
• Organize and maintain World Dairy Expo’s image and video libraries.

Occasional Responsibilities - Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in dairy, agriculture, or communications related field and two years related experience. Three to five years experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, walk significant distances, climb stairs, and work extended hours to meet business needs.

Position Requirements:

• Comprehensive understanding of agriculture and the dairy industry, specifically dairy cattle shows and dairy cattle judging.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including familiarity with AP style.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites with strong design skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to complete tasks.
• Exceptional organizational skills to facilitate collaboration across organization and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of various social media platforms utilized by World Dairy Expo.
• Experience with data management and analysis beneficial.
