Are you a strategic, results-driven leader with deep experience in residential construction and purchasing? We're seeking a Director of Operations to oversee and optimize the performance of a fast-growing homebuilding company with multiple divisions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, understands the full lifecycle of residential development, and knows how to lead teams toward operational excellence.
You'll work closely with division presidents, purchasing teams, and field leaders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and with the highest standards of quality.
What You'll Do

Lead day-to-day operations across multiple divisions, ensuring alignment with company goals and growth strategies

Oversee purchasing, vendor management, and cost control initiatives

Collaborate with division presidents to streamline processes and improve performance

Support land acquisition efforts, including feasibility analysis and development coordination

Implement systems and procedures to improve efficiency, accountability, and scalability

Mentor and manage cross-functional teams across construction, purchasing, and operations
What You Bring
-
Minimum 10 years of experience in the residential construction industry

At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP, Director, or second-in-command)

Strong background in purchasing, vendor negotiations, and cost management

Experience in land acquisition and development planning

Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex operations, and drive results

Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills
