Position: Director of Sales

Location: Holiday Inn Express and Suites – Merrimack

Wage: $65,000

Position Details:

The candidate will contribute to the profitability of the Company by effectively developing, managing, and executing the sales process at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Merrimack, NH. The ideal candidate has sales management experience, with knowledge of revenue management practices. The candidate must have the ability to develop both short and long-term selling strategies. The candidate has a strong track record of exceeding sales targets and leading the market in RevPAR. In addition, the candidate must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, exhibit an urgency to get things done and demonstrate outstanding leadership and drive.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed monthly and annual room revenue targets, leading market growth in RevPAR.
  • Work with the Company Director of Sales to develop the room revenue and meeting/catering sales plans by market segment and the development of the marketing plan and budgets to support achieving revenue goals.
  • Close new business to meet revenue objectives.
  • Lead the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Merrimack sales process, ensuring robust processes are in place to consistently exceed revenue targets.
  • Monitor and report monthly on sales objectives outlined in annual business plans.
  • Develop and execute short and long-term selling strategies, targeting key accounts.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners to generate business for the hotel.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to the management team, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Work with Director of Revenue Management to implement revenue management strategies that maximize RevPAR at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Merrimack

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in a Limited or Focus Service Hotel as a Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems (e.g., PMS).
  • Knowledge of revenue management tools and strategies.

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
