- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including the dispatch of drivers and vehicles.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Resolve any issues that arise during transportation, such as delays or route changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Provide status updates to customers and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain clear and accurate communication channels with all stakeholders.
- Develop and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Plan and adjust schedules based on traffic, weather conditions, and other factors.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including shipment logs, delivery notes, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Generate and analyze reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all documentation complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Quickly and effectively address any transportation-related issues or emergencies.
- Implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and prevent future problems.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any logistical challenges.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
