DISPATCHER

Job Summary

The Concrete / Ready-Mix Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the delivery of ready-mix concrete to construction sites in a timely and efficient manner. The role ensures optimal utilization of transit mixers, maintains communication between plant operations and site teams, and ensures deliveries meet quality, safety, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch & Scheduling

• Schedule and dispatch ready-mix concrete deliveries according to customer orders and project timelines.
• Coordinate with batching plant operators to ensure timely production and loading.
• Assign transit mixers and drivers based on route planning and delivery priorities.
• Monitor daily delivery schedules and adjust dispatch plans to accommodate urgent requests.

Coordination & Communication

• Act as the main point of contact between plant operations, drivers, pump operators, and project sites.
• Provide drivers with delivery instructions, route details, and site requirements.
• Communicate delivery updates, delays, or issues to customers and project teams.

Fleet & Delivery Monitoring

• Track vehicle movements using GPS or fleet management systems.
• Ensure maximum fleet utilization and minimize idle time.
• Monitor turnaround time of transit mixers and optimize delivery cycles.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare delivery notes, trip sheets, and dispatch logs.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, volumes, and schedules.
• Generate daily and monthly dispatch performance reports.

Quality & Safety Compliance

• Ensure delivered concrete meets specified grades and slump requirements.
• Follow company safety procedures and transport regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for vehicle availability and servicing schedules.

Customer Service

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding delivery schedules.
• Resolve site coordination issues to avoid project delays.
• Support operations team in maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Technical knowledge of concrete production is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ready-mix concrete dispatching or logistics coordination.
• Experience in construction, batching plants, or transport fleet coordination preferred.
• Familiarity with transit mixer operations and site delivery procedures.
