Dispatcher

Ferguson is currently hiring a dedicated Dispatcher to join our distribution team. If you have an interest in purchasing and logistics and a desire to learn new things then this is the position for you!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm

Pay: starting at $20 per hour or higher depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Communicates with drivers daily on route progress, changes, and issues

• Works along side sales team on issues, late deliveries, amendments to route, local pickups, etc

• Communicates with customers on delivery statuses

• Maintain truck and route files for DOT compliance, IFTA compliance, company compliance

• Supervise and coordinate truck maintenance with local providers

• Maintain driver personnel files for compliance

• Coordinate last minute additional runs via our truck or courier

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED

• 3+ years prior logistic dispatching experience

• Experience in shipping preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

• DispatchTrack software experience preferred but willing to teach the right candidate

• Well organized, strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism

• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices

• Out of the box problem solver with a strong sense of urgency
