Job Title: E-Commerce Catalog & Product Data Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative E-Commerce Catalog & Product Data Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing product data across multiple e-commerce platforms, working cross-functionally to improve catalog workflows, and ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience through accurate and compelling product content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain product data and catalogs within an e-commerce environment (1–3+ years of relevant experience required).
- Work closely with internal teams including supply chain, fulfillment center, and technology to drive tools and process improvements that enhance vendor and catalog management workflows.
- Utilize spreadsheet software (Excel/Google Sheets) proficiently for data cleaning, analysis, and reporting, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Leverage Product Information Management (PIM) systems and/or ERP tools to maintain data integrity and consistency.
- Apply SEO best practices to optimize product listings for search visibility and conversion.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to collect missing product data or assets as needed.
- Understand audience needs and deliver content in the most engaging and relevant manner.
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels, using excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Manage critical operational processes with clear accountability for Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities to resolve data and workflow issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 1–3+ years in catalog or product data management within an e-commerce environment.
- 2–4 years of experience in people management and customer/stakeholder interaction.
- E-commerce experience is mandatory.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleaning).
- Experience with PIM and/or ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices for product listings.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and influence work behaviors.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Experience managing operational processes with SLA responsibility.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (business or technical background is a plus).
- Language:
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications (Pluses):
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Basic knowledge of image editing tools.
