E-Commerce Manager

About the Company

The hiring organisation is an established, healthcare retail group that has been operating across the UAE since 1994. The group runs a Shopify-based e-commerce store selling non-prescription products including OTC medicines, dermacosmetics, supplements, nutrition, baby care, and home healthcare equipment.

Role Overview

The E-Commerce Manager will own the end-to-end P&L for the online sales channel. The role holder will be responsible for driving revenue growth through platform management, conversion optimisation, digital marketing, email/CRM, content strategy, and fulfilment coordination with branch teams in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Channel P&L: The manager will own revenue, gross margin, marketing spend, and contribution targets for the e-commerce channel. He/she will produce monthly P&L reporting with variance analysis for the CEO.

The candidate does not need to write code but must be able to brief a developer precisely, QA output, and troubleshoot basic Shopify admin issues independently.
  • Conversion optimisation: The manager will own conversion rate as a core metric, defining and prioritising CRO initiatives: trust elements, cross-sell/upsell, cart recovery, product page optimisation, and checkout friction reduction using GA4 funnels and heatmap tools.
  • Digital marketing: The role holder will brief and manage the paid media agency/freelancer, setting ROAS targets, approving budgets, and reviewing performance weekly. He/she will own Google Shopping feed quality, Meta retargeting strategy, and channel mix decisions.
  • Email & CRM: The manager will build and manage the email marketing function: platform setup (Klaviyo or equivalent), list building, abandoned cart sequences, welcome series, and promotional campaigns. Target: 6,000+ subscribers within 12 months.
  • SEO & content: The role holder will define keyword strategy and the editorial calendar, briefing the Content Creator on blog topics, product descriptions, and landing page copy. He/she will ensure content drives measurable organic traffic growth.
  • Merchandising input: The manager will work with the Category Manager on online assortment, pricing, promotional calendar, bundles, and cross-sell pairings, flagging slow movers, stock-outs, and margin opportunities.
  • Loyalty & subscriptions: The role holder will implement and manage the online loyalty programme and subscription/auto-replenish offering for repeat-purchase categories.
  • WhatsApp commerce: The manager will set up and manage WhatsApp Business as an assisted selling channel, tracking attributed revenue.
  • Fulfilment coordination: The role holder will coordinate remotely with UAE branch managers on Click & Collect, delivery preparation, stock accuracy, and customer complaint resolution.
  • Analytics & reporting: The manager will maintain GA4 enhanced e-commerce tracking and produce weekly dashboards and monthly channel P&L reports for the CEO.
