Early Childhood Teacher (Preschool, Kindergarten) | Big Shoulders Fund (Various Locations)

Seeking Early Childhood Education teachers; Preschool and Kindergarten. Some roles available in 1st-2nd grade.

Big Shoulders Fund schools are seeking collaborative, coachable teachers. Both new and experienced teachers are invited to apply.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working with students or youth (required)
• Professional Educator License (preferred)

Position Overview + Essential Job Functions

• Demonstrate passion and skill for working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
• Manage student behavior by establishing a strong classroom culture that integrates safe and equitable structures and routines to create a positive and nurturing environment.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active, differentiated.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the instructional environment and work towards common school goals.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and development through formative and summative assessments.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues and principal
• Attend required faculty and staff meetings
• Participate in professional development programs required by the Archdiocese of Chicago and/or the local school/parish

Teachers are hired and employed by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Teachers receive a variety of supports from Big Shoulders Fund.

Pay: $40,300.00 - $68,300.00 per year
