Job Summary:
The Ecommerce In-Charge is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's online sales and presence across various ecommerce platforms. This includes managing product listings, promotions, pricing, order fulfillment, customer service, and coordinating with internal departments and external partners to drive online sales performance and enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ecommerce Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of ecommerce channels (own website, Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)
- Ensure accurate and timely product listings, pricing, and inventory updates
- Coordinate with the logistics team for smooth order processing and timely deliveries
- Manage returns, refunds, and exchanges
2. Sales & Marketing
- Monitor ecommerce sales performance and implement strategies to increase conversions
- Plan and execute digital promotions, campaigns, and seasonal sales
- Optimize product descriptions, SEO, and images to enhance visibility and ranking
3. Marketplace Coordination
- Manage relationships with online marketplaces and ensure compliance with their policies
- Participate in promotional events and campaigns offered by marketplaces
- Track and resolve disputes, penalties, and negative feedback
4. Analytics & Reporting
- Track KPIs such as sales, traffic, conversion rates, cart abandonment, etc.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports and analyze performance trends
- Recommend improvements based on data insights
5. Customer Service
- Respond to customer inquiries, reviews, and complaints professionally and promptly
- Monitor customer satisfaction and work to improve ratings and reviews
6. Team Coordination
- Coordinate with marketing, design, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of ecommerce activities
- Train and supervise ecommerce support staff if any
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in managing ecommerce platforms or digital sales
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) and marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)
- Knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, and content optimization
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with ecommerce tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Amazon Seller Central, etc.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or ecommerce CMS systems
