The Job

Our Everett, WA office is seeking an Electrical CAD/BIM Designer to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. This role is to develop design and construction documents for electrical power systems for buildings under the supervision of Senior Engineers.

Here are the details of your duties in this role:

  • Develop electrical system drawings/models of a given project based on scope of work, client RFPs, and direction from Sr Engineers.
  • Coordinating drawings / model with other disciplines, including HVAC, controls, fire protection, structural & architectural scopes.

Your Background

To succeed in this role, you need to meet the following basic requirements:

  • Associate or technical degree from a design/drafting/BIM program
  • 5+ years of AutoCAD experience in either Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural design witha focus on Electrical
  • Candidates to have a strong understanding of AutoCAD and drawing set up, layering and the use of blocks.
  • Design experience in AC service and distribution, DC power and distribution, standby generators, uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS), grounding, lighting, security and fire protection is also preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office software

Nice to haves:

  • Candidates to have a strong understanding of Revit models, families, templates, and clash detection tools.
  • BIM 360 Modeling

Travel: 10%

The expected base salary range for this role is $40-$45/hr. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and qualifications.
