Electrical Engineer (Site Supervision)

Location : Abu Dhabi (Masdar / Yas / Al Reem Island)

Burtville Development is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer (Site Supervision) to oversee all electrical works on site and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and Abu Dhabi authority regulations. The role includes technical review, site coordination, contractor supervision, and supporting the delivery, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all electrical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, local regulations, and project requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and samples related to electrical systems.
• Coordinate closely with MEP contractors, civil, architectural, and other disciplines to resolve site issues and clashes.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with Abu Dhabi authority requirements (ADDC, ADCD, Estidama, ADM as applicable).
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and witness testing & commissioning of electrical systems.
• Identify non-conformities, issue site instructions / NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions until closure.
• Review contractor progress, work sequencing, and manpower deployment to ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Attend site meetings, technical coordination meetings, and client/authority inspections when required.
• Verify as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation prior to project completion.
• Support the project team in value engineering proposals while maintaining design intent and authority compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and inspectors on site.
• Liaise with contractors on temporary power, energization plans, and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years total experience, with minimum 5 years in Abu Dhabi.
• Strong experience in site supervision for residential / mixed-use projects.
• Solid knowledge of UAE codes, standards, and authority procedures.
• Previous contractor experience is highly preferred (strong understanding of site execution and sequencing).
• Good communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Salary Range: AED 10,000 – 12,000
