Key Responsibilities:
1. Department Leadership & Team Management
- Lead the E&I maintenance team, including Supervisors, Technicians, and Contractors.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities and allocate manpower accordingly.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance evaluation of team members.
2. Electrical Maintenance Management
- Oversee maintenance of motors, MCC panels, power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, VFDs, UPS, and standby generators.
- Ensure stable and safe power supply to all production lines and auxiliary equipment.
- Verify proper load distribution, power factor management, and energy efficiency initiatives.
3. Instrumentation & Control Systems Management
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and reliability of field instruments (PT, TT, FT, LT, control valves, sensors).
- Oversee PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems, ensuring timely troubleshooting and modification support.
- Coordinate with automation vendors and service providers for system upgrades and technical support.
4. Preventive, Predictive & Shutdown Maintenance
- Develop and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for all E&I systems.
- Implement Predictive Maintenance programs (thermography, IR testing, vibration, diagnostics).
- Lead E&I planning and execution for annual/bi-annual plant shutdowns.
5. Reliability, Troubleshooting & Breakdown Response
- Analyze chronic issues, recurring breakdowns, and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Ensure quick and effective troubleshooting to reduce production downtime.
- Work closely with Mechanical, Utilities, and Production teams for cross-functional solutions.
6. Compliance, Safety & Documentation
- Enforce strict adherence to LOTO, PTW, and electrical safety standards.
- Maintain documentation related to maintenance logs, calibration records, drawings, and CMMS entries.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, internal audits, and statutory electrical requirements.
7. Spare Parts, Vendor & Budget Management
- Monitor and manage E&I spare parts inventory and critical spares availability.
- Coordinate with procurement for vendor development, AMC contracts, and purchasing.
- Assist in budget planning and cost optimization for E&I operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.Tech / DAE (Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation)
- Experience: 7–12 years in E&I maintenance within Polyester Fiber, Chemical, Petrochemical, Textile, or Process Industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and control circuits
- Expertise in PLC/DCS systems, calibration, and instrumentation diagnostics
- Understanding of automation systems, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols
