Key Responsibilities:
1. Shift Supervision & Team Leadership
- Lead a team of E&I Technicians during the shift and assign daily maintenance tasks.
- Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting and repairs during critical breakdowns.
- Ensure effective communication through shift handovers, daily team briefings, and coordination with production teams.
2. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Supervise maintenance of motors, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, transformers, power distribution systems, and backup generators.
- Diagnose electrical faults, check load balancing, and resolve issues related to wiring, circuits, and controls.
- Ensure proper functioning of earthing, lighting, cabling, and power safety systems.
3. Instrumentation & Control Systems Maintenance
- Manage calibration, repair, and maintenance of field instruments (temperature, pressure, flow, level transmitters).
- Troubleshoot control valves, actuators, sensors, solenoid valves, and pneumatic systems.
- Support PLC, DCS, SCADA systems in coordination with automation engineers (basic to intermediate troubleshooting).
4. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance (PM) plans for all E&I equipment.
- Validate equipment conditions through routine inspections and monitoring.
- Support predictive maintenance activities such as thermography, insulation resistance checks, and condition monitoring.
5. Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Enforce strict adherence to LOTO, PTW, and electrical safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, calibration records, job cards, and spare parts usage.
- Assist in audit compliance (ISO, safety audits, energy audits).
6. Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Production, and Utilities teams for maintenance planning.
- Recommend improvements for energy efficiency, equipment reliability, and spare parts management.
- Participate in shutdown planning and execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: DAE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology
- Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in E&I maintenance in Polyester Fiber, Chemical, Petrochemical, Textile, or other process industries, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting expertise in motors, VFDs, PLCs, field instruments, and control systems
- Knowledge of industrial power distribution systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings
