Electrical Project manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial electrical projects from preconstruction and estimating through completion.
The ideal candidate has a solid background as a licensed electrician or in electrical field supervision, combined with strong project management and estimating skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, estimating, execution, and closeout of multiple electrical construction projects.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals, including material take-offs, labor projections, and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop project schedules and budgets; monitor progress to meet deadlines and financial targets.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure scope, specifications, and compliance requirements are met.
• Negotiate and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Provide technical guidance to field teams, ensuring adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Conduct regular site visits to track progress, resolve issues, and verify quality and compliance.
• Review and approve invoices, monitor costs, and maintain accurate WIP (Work in Progress) reporting.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear, timely communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical experience (journeyman, foreman, superintendent, or similar), with at least 3 years in project management and estimating.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC, electrical construction methods, and industrial/commercial installations.
• Proven ability to develop competitive estimates, budgets, and schedules.
• Proficiency with estimating and project management software (e.g., Accubid, Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience strongly considered.
• OSHA 30 certification and valid driver’s license required; electrical license or certification a plus.
