MEP Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Project Manager to DUBAI with over 15 years of experience to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects in Qatar. The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all MEP works, managing the MEP teams, and liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall planning, coordination, and execution of MEP-related tasks on construction projects.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for MEP systems and equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and safety standards.
  • Supervise and manage the MEP design, installation, and commissioning teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with other departments (civil, structural, architectural) to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and other stakeholders on all MEP-related matters.
  • Attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders to present updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports, schedules, and cost analysis to clients.
  • Oversee and manage the MEP project budget, ensuring costs are controlled and expenditures are tracked.
  • Identify and address any potential cost overruns and propose corrective actions.
  • Review and approve MEP-related invoices and variations.
  • Ensure MEP systems are installed according to design specifications, project scope, and quality standards.
  • Perform regular site inspections and audits to verify the quality of MEP installations.
  • Ensure all systems are tested, commissioned, and handed over in compliance with relevant standards and codes.
  • Identify potential project risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
  • Address any technical challenges and troubleshoot problems related to MEP systems.
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes related to MEP works in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage the procurement process for MEP materials, equipment, and services.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional certification in Project Management (PMP or similar) is highly desirable.
  • 15 years of experience in MEP project management, preferably in the GCC region.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office suite.
