Hitachi Energy LLC - Electrical Service Engineer
Job Summary
As an Electrical Service Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for providing technical support during the installation, testing, and maintenance of High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear substations. This position typically works under the guidance of a Senior Technical Advisor and Senior Project Engineer. You will ensure optimal performance and reliability, adhering to Hitachi Energy’s high standards of quality and safety.
Job Responsibilities
Assisting on-site installation, commissioning and testing of GIS components (e.g., circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, bus bars, CT, VT’s etc) according to technical drawings, single-line diagrams and procedures under the guidance of a Senior Technical Advisor.
Supporting SF6 gas filling, pressure testing, and monitoring gas density levels in the switchgear compartments.
Contribute to planning and implementation of installation activities.
Preparing detailed service reports, maintenance logs, test results, and other technical documentation, ensuring all documentation is accurate and delivered to the client.
Maintain good relationships with internal and external suppliers.
Preparing As-built drawings.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement necessary quality assurance measures to minimize project risks and costs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Job Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (2+ years) as an Electrical Service Engineer or similar role, preferably within Transmission and Distribution segment.
Must be an Omani National (Mandatory).
Relevant experience in electrical systems, switchgear or substation installation /maintenance is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of electrical layouts, schematics, blueprints and technical documentation.
Familiarity with various Mechanical Installation and assembly Tools and SF6 Gas Handling Equipment .
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently to various sites within Sultanate.
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and practices (e.g., Lockout/Tagout).
