The opportunity
The Electrical Site Manager will join our team to lead all on-site activities of a project, ensuring cost-effective execution of deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during start-up, construction/erection, commissioning, and maintenance phases.

How You'll Make An Impact
  • Planning project on-site activities with project manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones.
  • Coordinating agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
  • From receiving the assigned site area from the customer or project manager to handover to the end customer on completion day, coordinating all on-site activities to ensure successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
  • Serving as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers as well as other local organizations such as authorities, banks, and suppliers to ensure active support of field activities.
  • Ensuring a detailed and up-to-date construction Health & Safety (H&S) plan is in place for each work package, compliant with the Hitachi Energy HSE plan.
  • Ensuring all on-site resources are properly trained on company health, safety and environment policy and proactively promoting health and safety.
  • Ensuring correct handling, storage and installation of Hitachi Energy-delivered equipment, coordinating on-site storage and shipment logistics to secure timely site delivery of equipment and material.
  • Managing on-site sub-contractors hired by Hitachi Energy to ensure necessary quality and progress to meet delivery dates.
  • Controlling project cost for the site work, monitoring actual spend against forecasts, and estimating final cost.
  • Managing petty cash and exercising delegated authority for local purchasing within agreed limits.
  • Ensuring documentation is updated, the document handling system is maintained, and latest revisions are used for construction work on site.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Upholding Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical power, electronics & communication.
  • 8 to 10 years of project experience in related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning skills; ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate with people of all levels.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
