The Electroplating Engineer is responsible for managing, optimizing, and controlling electroplating processes to ensure consistent product quality, process efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. The role supports increased production demand and ensures reliable surface treatment operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and control electroplating processes including bath chemistry, current density, temperature, and coating thickness.
- Monitor daily electroplating operations to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot plating defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct regular analysis of plating baths and ensure timely replenishment and maintenance.
- Optimize processes to improve productivity, reduce rejections, and minimize chemical consumption.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams to resolve process issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations related to electroplating operations.
- Support audits, documentation, and process standardization activities.
- Assist in new product development, trials, and process improvements related to surface treatment.
- Train and guide operators on best practices and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical / mechanical / metallurgical engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electroplating or surface treatment operations (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of electroplating processes, chemicals, and quality control methods.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental compliance standards.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
