Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in delivering engaging lessons across core subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Support students’ individual learning needs through tutoring, mentoring, and tailored instructional strategies.
- Implement classroom management techniques to promote a respectful, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
- Contribute to lesson planning by preparing educational materials and integrating learning technology tools to enhance student engagement.
- Support special education initiatives by working with students with autism or other learning differences, following individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Help maintain accurate records of student progress and assist in preparing assessments for standardized testing.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff through clear communication and collaborative teamwork.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood or elementary settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies is advantageous.
- Experience with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques is desirable.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, library services, or Montessori methods will be considered a plus.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills are essential for creating instructional materials and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with autism or special needs in a classroom environment is beneficial.
