About the Role:
Our client is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to plan, build, and optimize email campaigns that drive engagement, nurture leads, and increase conversions. This role combines creative copywriting with technical ESP expertise and performance analytics. The specialist owns the full campaign lifecycle — from segmentation and automation through deliverability and reporting — ensuring email remains a consistent and measurable revenue channel.
Responsibilities:Campaign Development & Execution:- Build and launch campaigns in platforms like HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign.
- Write subject lines, body copy, and CTAs tailored to audience segments.
- Design responsive templates that align with brand guidelines (HTML/CSS edits when necessary).
Audience Segmentation & List Management:- Maintain databases of 20k–200k+ contacts.
- Segment audiences by persona, lifecycle stage, engagement level, and geography.
- Clean lists regularly (remove hard bounces, spam traps, inactive users).
Automation & Nurture Programs:- Build drip sequences, abandoned cart flows, and behavioral triggers.
- Test workflow logic to ensure automated campaigns run correctly.
Deliverability & Compliance:- Monitor inbox placement and sender reputation using tools like Litmus, GlockApps, or Postmark.
- Manage domain health, DNS/SPF/DKIM settings, and suppression lists.
- Ensure campaigns comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA.
Performance Optimization:- Run A/B tests on subject lines, copy, CTAs, and send times.
- Analyze metrics (open rate, CTR, conversion, unsubscribe).
- Iterate campaigns based on data insights.
Reporting:- Build weekly/monthly dashboards with campaign performance.
- Track revenue attribution by integrating ESP data with Google Analytics, Looker, or CRM dashboards.
- Present findings and recommendations to sales/marketing leadership.

- Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS for email templates.
Ideal Experience & Skills:- Managed email programs for 50k+ contacts.
- Familiarity with deliverability monitoring tools (Litmus, GlockApps).
- Industry exposure in SaaS, e-commerce, or professional services.
- Experience integrating ESPs with CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot).
