Head of Engineering

For a leading company in the UAE, with an excellent reputation. This role will be leading the Engineering department which covers 3 business units, overseeing Civil, Marine Infrastructure, Electrical, and Mechanical functions. Should have strong technical expertise in heavy industry engineering projects, as well as facilities and equipment management.

Must have prior experience in the Terminal/Port Management industry

• Proven expertise in Port Equipment management and maintenance , including QC, RTGC, RS, ECH, VNA/Forklift, etc.
• Experience in electrification and automation of port equipment, which is a future focus area
• Knowledge of environmental protection, energy usage, and safety practices would be an advantage
• Strong people and contractor management experience, preferably within a similar scale of operations
• Full responsibility for Engineering Budgets , including:
• CAPEX investments
• Inventory control
• Repair & Maintenance (R&M)
• Power and fuel utilization
• ESG targets, particularly related to carbon intensity from power and fuel consumption
• Lead port infrastructure development ; prior experience with marine infrastructure (dredging), warehouse construction is a plus
